PRE HSE VOLUNTEER MATH TUTORS NEEDED FOR LIC ALC
DESCRIPTION
PRE HIGH SCHOOL EQUIVALENCY VOULNTEER MATH TUTORS are needed at LIC Adult Learning Center to give supplemental and remedial instruction to adult students who are preparing to take the High School Equivalency exam. We are specifically looking for volunteer tutors who are content area specialists in basic math and algebra, and are willing to tutor small groups of adults for 2-3 hours a week.
REQUIREMENTS:

MUST BE 18 YEARS OR OLDER.

MINIMUM HIGH SCHOOL DEGREE WITH SOME COLLEGE

RETIRED TEACHERS, UNDERGRAD / GRADUATE SECONDARY EDUCATION MAJORS, AND ADULT EDUCATORS PREFERRED.

MUST BE PATIENT, AND WILLING TO WORK WITH ADULTS.

SPEAK ENGLISH FLUENTLY
SCHEDULE:
October - December (flexible hours)
2-3 HOURS PER WEEK (MONDAY - SATURDAY)
Volunteer schedules depend on individual dates and times available. Volunteers may work a maximum of 15 hours per week.
ADDITIONAL NOTES
Individuals, 18 and older are subject to an investigative background check that may be used when considering volunteers.
