Homework Helpers at South Jamaica 2018-19 (SJU)
Homework Helpers assist youth during after school hours to begin work on daily take-home assignments. Volunteers help prioritize assignments and consult with staff to easily access Library materials and information. Common subject areas include Math, English Language Arts, Science, and History.

SKILLS REQUIRED
- Fluent in Spanish, Bengla, French, or Creole preferred
- Possess a solid knowledge of specific subject areas: Math, English Language Arts, Science, and History.
- Comfortable working in a busy and fast paced setting
- Comfortable working with school-aged children (6-12yrs.).
- Dependable and organized
SCHEDULE
Monday - Friday from 3:00pm - 6:00pm
ADDITIONAL NOTES
SJU students must register at least 48 hours before a scheduled project day/time. No walk-ins permitted.
Daily registration is limited to three (3) people.
NEED MORE HOURS
Students cannot register for more than 5 sessions per semester.
