Citizenship through English at Jackson Heights ALC 2018-19
Volunteers will help legal permanent residents prepare for naturalization. Activities include quizzing students on US history, geography, traditions, and government; discussions about US culture and current events; practice drills in spoken and written English; mock interviews combining all the components of a citizenship examination.
REQUIREMENTS
- 18 years and older
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Detail oriented and flexible
SCHEDULE
Commitment required for all sessions:
Wednesdays 6:00 pm -7:30 pm
January 16 - March 27, 2019

Individuals 18 and older are subject to an investigative background check that may be used when considering volunteers.
