Clerical Aide at Central (Talent & Training Dept) 2019-20

The Talent Development and Training Department is responsible for providing ongoing professional development trainings and workshops for Queens Library staff members.

The Technology Aide will assist with day-to-day office operations such as photocopying, faxing, printing, scanning and organizing files, sorting and distributing mail, and updating the database and calendar. They may also assist with preparing training materials for upcoming trainings and workshops. 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Familiar with computer and mobile device software and operating systems

  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Displays strong time management and organizational skills

  • able to work independently; with minimal supervision 

  • Possess solid interpersonal skills

  • Strong written communication skills

  • Preferred: previous experience working in an office setting

SCHEDULE
Minimum of 5-10 hours a week (Monday - Friday between 1:00 - 5:00 pm)
At least a 3-month commitment
