Clerical Volunteer at Central JBA 2018-19
Queens Library’s Job & Business Academy (JBA) provides specialized training and learning opportunities, with an emphasis on technology, training, to job seekers, aspiring entrepreneurs, and business owners. By combining the Job & Business Academy’s individual counseling, in-person workshops, and online learning opportunities with complementary services provided by the library’s Adult Learner Program and New Americans Program, Queens residents participating in the training will become better prepared for the modern workforce.
The Central JBA is looking for a clerical volunteer to assist with the following:
- updating mailing lists, filing, paperwork, and responding to customer inquiries
- registration, data entry, and other duties required to successfully run a program
- classroom set up and assist in classes as needed
- Interested in entrepreneurship
- Flexibile
- Punctual; good time management
- Self-motivated and articulate
- Good Written & verbal communication skills; email etiquette
- Friendly demeanor; team player
Schedule
Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays in the evening (5-9pm)
ADDITIONAL NOTES

Individuals 18 and older are subject to an investigative background check that may be used when considering volunteers.
