About Our Volunteers

Queens Public Library volunteers represent a cross section of cultures, ages, genders, and ethnicities that comprise the diversity of neighborhoods and experiences found throughout the borough.  QPL volunteers range from 14 to over 80 years old, and can be found in all areas of the institution.  Library volunteers work behind the scences to support staff members to  directly with the public to help deliver programs and services.

You are encouraged to search the many projects offered during the year to find the right fit.  Whether you are available for a few hours or able to commit on an ongoing basis, we have a variety of service projects for everyone.
