Lunar New Year Celebration at Flushing 2019-20
Come celebrate the Lunar New Year and the year of the rat! The Flushing Library is open during the Lunar New Year Parade, which means we will see many more visitors than usual. We need volunteers who can help direct foot traffic to bathrooms and program rooms, answer common questions, maintain orderly lines, and act as ushers in the Auditorium.
Requirements
- 16 years old and up
- Parental consent form required. Working papers not required. - Click to download blank parental consent form.
- Enthusiasm and a positive attitude.
- Mandarin language skill is a plus.
- Prolonged walking and/or standing is required.

Shift 1: 10AM - 1PM
Shift 2: 1PM - 4PM
Volunteers are welcome to work both shifts.

Parental consent form is required and must be uploaded with the application for minors. Incomplete applications (missing required documents) will be on hold until the required documents are received.
Individuals 18 and older are subject to an investigative background check that may be used when considering volunteers.
