Academic Partnerships

High school, college and university faculty may partner with Queens Public Library to identify volunteer opportuities for students during the school year. The library works with each school to develop projects that meet your community service requirements; and allow students to volunteer in groups and on an individual basis.

Each Academic Partner receives:

  • Community Service Partnership Page: A dedicated webpage to help promote your school or institution and its commmitment to community service.
  • Private Sign-up: Students may register for school approved volunteer projects using the Partnership Page.
  • Partnership Impact Report: Each school receives a final impact report detailing the completed projects and total service hours completed by students during the season.

Students are required to complete the standard registration process, must obtain parental consent and posses valid working papers to volunteer. Students, 18 year and older must also complete a background check prior to start.
