The Future of Democracy: Conflict Disagreement and Civic Life
Queens Public Library and Humanities New York invite you to join a three-part conversation series exploring disagreement, free expression, and dissent in civic life.
Each session begins with a short reading or image and opens into a guided discussion. Participants are invited to bring their own experiences and perspectives as we explore some of the questions shaping democratic life today.
Session Three: When Is It Time to Break the Rules? The final conversation looks at the tension between following the rules and following your conscience. What happens when the two come into conflict? When is it important to work within existing institutions, and when might it become necessary to challenge them?
