Join us for an engaging and informative one-hour workshop designed for teens eager to make a positive impact on their community!

This session highlights several topics including:

  • Why Volunteer?  Discover the countless reasons why volunteering is not only fulfilling but also a crucial aspect of personal growth and community development.
  • Unleashing Potential: Benefits for Teens.  From building valuable skills to enhancing college applications, discover how your efforts can open doors to exciting opportunities in high school, college, and future employment.
  • Scholarships for Community Service.  Find out how you can turn your volunteer work into financial aid for your education.
  • Getting Started: Volunteering at the Library.  Learn how to take your first steps towards volunteering at the Library. Gain insights into available opportunities.

This workshop is ideal for middle and high school students in 8th through 12th grades (and parents or guardians) seeking information on how to prepare for volunteering with Queens Public Library and other non-profit and community based organizations.
