Join the "Edit-a-Thon" at Queensbridge Tech Lab
The Queensbridge Tech Lab is participating in an "Edit-a-Thon" focused on raising awareness of Queens' diverse and dynamic local heroes!
WHEN: Saturday, March 16th
TIME: 10:00am - 4:00pm
Edit-a-thon volunteers can learn how to create and edit entries in Wikidata, Wikipedia, and OpenStreetMap. They will participate in improving biographical articles for local leaders who have helped to shape the culture and civic life in their communities.
We are seeking 8-10 volunteers for this fun and innovative NYC Open Data Week event.
REQUIREMENTS

REQUIREMENTS
- Must be at least 16 years old (parental consent is required for all minors)
- Interested in open data analysis, NYC history, writing, or urban affairs
- Ability to assist others in basic computer skills
ADDITIONAL NOTES
This is an in-person project. Working papers are not required for this activity.
