(PRIVATE) Math Tutor at Rochdale Village Adult Learning Center (QPL)
Summary
Assist Adult Learners with Basic Math functions and concepts such as addition, substraction, multiplication and fraction ect. via one-on-one and/or small group tutoring (max 5 students).
Record attendance; distribute and collect forms and program materials.Comfortable incorporating technology in sesions as appropriate.
Minimum Requirements
- 21 years old and older
- Patient, understanding and reliable
- has a passion for math and helping others to understand Basic Math functions
- Able to maintain the confidentiality of student records.
- Must be able to work a flexible but dedicated schedule; minimum 2 hrs /week
- Must possess a high school diploma of equivalency degree
Schedule
Choose from the following options:
Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays from 10am-12noon / 1pm-3pm / 3pm-5pm
OR
Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3-5pm; and flexible Saturdays from 10am-3pm
Additional Notes
Individuals 18 and older are subject to an investigative background check that may be used when considering volunteers.
