Queens Memory...Everyone's Story is Important

Queens Memory collects personal histories, photographs and other records of contemporary life in Queens, New York.  Created in collaboration with Queens College, to collect stories and images of life in the borough, the program provides training and necessary materials for anyone to contribute interviews, photographs, and other records that we then preserve and make available to researchers.

Help us make a lasting record of the people, places, and events of Queens. We invite you to conduct an interview, take a photo, and make a sound or video recording of an area of interest. What kind of record would you like to share with us for the archives?

  • Oral history interview recordings
  • Digital photographs
  • Scanned materials
  • Wild sound recordings
