| Students interested in joining the QPL Newsroom for Winter/Spring 2026 must complete the Student Interest Form by Wednesday, February 25th and attend a mandatory in-person orientation on Saturday, February 28th from 11:00am - 2:00pm. |
Who Can Join the QPL Newsroom?
QPL Newsroom is open to all students attending a New York City public, private, or parochial high school. Students must be current freshmen, sophomores, juniors, or seniors to participate.
When Does QPL Newsroom Operate
QPL Newsroom meets twice a week, operates at the Central Library and runs on Wednesday and Thursday afternoons from 3:00pm - 6:00pm during the academic school year from September-June.
QPL Newsroom Editorial Calendar
Timeframe: Each publication cycle is 7-8 weeks/14-16 sessions and includes a dedicated student recruitment period.
