Volunteer Registration Confirmation

Thank you for registering to volunteer with Queens Public Library!   The onboarding process may take up to thirty (30) days to complete.  During this time, you may be asked to complete the following steps:

  • Submit Required Documents.  Some projects required mandatory documents including parental consent, working papers, resume, or writing sample.  Refer to the project descriptions to view all required items.   You can download forms here -  https://volunteer.queenslibrary.org/forms-and-publications
  • Attend a Personal Interview.  You will be contacted to schedule a personal interview to discuss your qualifications with a project supervisor.  Try to setup a meeting time immediately to help along the onboarding process.
  • Complete all mandatory screenings, trainings, and orientation.  You are expected to complete all required background checks, trainings, and volunteer orientation prior to final approval.  We ask that you regulary check your email for related messages from Volunteer Services to ensure these items are completed in a timely manner.
