Toddler Learning Center Aide at Glendale (QPL)
SUMMARY
Glendale is seeking a volunteer to serve as a Toddler Learning Center Aide.
The volunteer will support the branch Librarian during this 5-week series of parent/child workshops. Ideally the volunteer could support all program sessions, scheduled for Mondays from 10am-12:30pm on the following dates:
- September 8th
- September 15th
- September 22nd
- September 29th
- October 6th
Volunteer tasks will include the following:
- Before each program:
- Set up toys in the room according to the instructions of the Children's Librarian
- Check toys to make sure they are clean, safe, and have no missing or broken parts. Notify Librarian when replacements are needed.
- During the program:
- Keep toys organized.
- Help to maintain order in the room
- Oversee the craft activity when needed
- After each program:
- Clean toys as needed
- Put all TLC toys away
MINIMUM SKILLS
- 18 years old and up
- Must enjoy working with young children or have an interest in working with children and families
- Must be patient, flexible, organized and able to communicate effectively
- Able to support all or most of the program sessions
- Preferred bi-lingual in one additional language (Spanish, Chinese, Bengali, or French/Creole)

ADDITIONAL NOTES
